Description
Environment:
- OS:
IPadOS 16.3.1 - IceCubesApp version:
IceCubesApp 1.5.2
Description
When re-entering an already running instance of Ice Cubes, the timeline sometimes jumps to an arbitrary older posting, 12 to 17 hours in the past.
I start reading from the top of the timeline, let‘s say I get to postings that are around 3 hours old. Then I leave Ice Cubes to do something else on the iPad (web browsing, reading mails, something that takes time). When I return to Ice Cubes I can see that there is an updated „unread posts“ (or is that new posts?) counter and the timeline jumps to an older posting.
This does not always happen, but often enough that it becomes annoying, and it always jumps at least ten hours to the past.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the timeline jump on an iPad running iPadOS 16.3.1 with IceCubesApp 1.5.2: read several hours into the timeline, leave the app running, and return after new posts arrive. Done means the timeline no longer moves arbitrarily 10–17 hours into the past when re-entering the app.
