Description

I was wondering if it would be possible to set media to only have a text placeholder in timelines instead of just an overlay? It would save data and also be less distracting.

Something like this (screenshot from Ivory)?

Tapping on the word (Image) shows the media, while opening the post shows the post with media not hidden.

Research direction

Start by locating the timeline media rendering entry point and the settings entry point for display preferences. Define how a text placeholder should appear, how tapping it reveals media, and confirm that opening the post still shows its media; validate the behavior in timeline and post views.
