Description
The unread count feels a bit addictive in design, especially when the app automatically loads latest statuses in various conditions, thinking it might be good to have an option to disable it. I'm not expecting any change on the app's behavior, just hiding the count visually.

Research direction
Start at the timeline UI entry point and trace where the unread count is rendered, then inspect existing app settings or display options for the appropriate place for a toggle. Done means users can disable the count visually while automatic status loading and the rest of the timeline behavior remain unchanged.
