Description
Environment:
- OS: macOS 26.3 (25D125)
- IceCubesApp version: 2.1.3 (3244)
Description
IceCubes is sitting at constantly >30% CPU usage while not doing anything.
Apparently this only happens when the Notifications sidebar is open:
with the sidebar disabled CPU usage goes way down:
I attached some Samples i created in Activity Monitor. not sure if this helps:
Sample of Ice Cubes with sidebar.txt
Sample of Ice Cubes without sidebar.txt

Research direction
Start by reproducing the issue in IceCubesApp 2.1.3 on macOS with the Notifications sidebar enabled, then compare the two attached Activity Monitor samples. Trace the notifications sidebar's idle work and verify that CPU usage returns to normal when the sidebar remains open without activity.
