Description

Environment:

  • OS: iOS 17.4.1 (21E236)
  • IceCubesApp version: 1.10.35

Description

image
see image. the text in some messages is being truncated with ellipsis, and there is no way to see the full text. (eg on a post from Brian Krebs today it shows "Show full article" below the ellipsized text, which expands inline) This is how the message appeared on my timeline; clicking through it shows a little more "What would a James Bond movie villain d..." but still has ellipsis. Notably, for both the examples of this I can see in my timeline today, when I swipe through the ellipsis is hiding just the last 3 characters of the original. I can see the full text in the mastodon web client, or by trying to quote-toot

Research direction

No file or test is named. Reproduce the issue in the iOS timeline using the reported iOS 17.4.1 and IceCubesApp 1.10.35 details, then compare the truncated text with the Mastodon web client or quote-toot view; done means the full message is visible or can be expanded without losing its final characters.
