Description
Environment:
- OS:
iOS 17.1.2, iPhone 13 mini - IceCubesApp version:
1.9.15 (Dec. 13, 2023)
Description
On home indicator devices, MediaUI video player controls are to bottom edge of screen.
- When attempting to scrub video playback, swipe gesture hits the system home indicator instead.
- This does not happen when running app in iOS simulator (tried on iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 15 Pro).
- See screenshots below (both are playing the same video from same toot).
Actual Device - Actual Behaviour (iPhone 13 mini)
Simulator - Expected Behaviour (iPhone 13 mini)

Research direction
Start by reproducing the video player on a physical iPhone 13 mini, comparing it with the simulator behavior described in the issue. Inspect the MediaUI video player controls and their bottom safe-area handling. Done means the controls are clear of the home indicator and scrubbing works on a home-indicator device without regressing simulator behavior.
