Description

Environment:

  • OS: iOS v17.0.3
  • IceCubesApp v1.9.2

Description

Writing a toot and putting in hashtags predictive text can screw up if it is showing more text.

For example typing some text and starting the #clima the predictive text is showing "climate change" the hashtag line shows "#climatechange". Touching the hashtag inserts "#climatechange" and predictive text adds "te change".

Research direction

Start by reproducing the issue in the toot composer on iOS 17.0.3 with IceCubesApp 1.9.2, entering a hashtag prefix while predictive text is visible. Trace the hashtag insertion and predictive-text interaction; done means selecting a suggestion no longer duplicates the remaining suggestion text in the hashtag.
