Description
(I searched and I didn’t see that this has been requested before)
Currently, when videos appear in the timeline, they begin to play and they don’t stop until the end, it seems. Whatever the mechanics, the end result is a cacophony of competing sounds (so much so that I always turn off the speaker when using Ice Cubes). It would be great if videos automatically stoped playing when scrolled out of view or when changing tabs (in the bottom) or when following a link. In other words, ice cubes should strive to play only one soundtrack at a time. I guess that for energy saving reasons, it would also help if only one video was played at a time. Anyway, we humans can only watch one video at a time efficiently !

Research direction
Start by tracing video playback in the timeline and its lifecycle across scrolling, bottom-tab changes, and link navigation. Done means out-of-view or background videos stop and only one video soundtrack plays at a time, including during navigation.
