Description
Lately I've seen this behavior:
- macbook fans start spinning a lot and it becomes quite hot while playing
- moving in the village is laggy
- moving items in the item is laggy and it does not "snap" correctly

Research direction
No files, tests, or entry points are named. First reproduce the heat, village-movement lag, and item-movement snapping problems while playing, then profile those scenarios to locate the regression. Done means the reported performance and snapping issues are resolved and the relevant gameplay checks still pass.
