Make sure build.sh script works on MacOS

I don't have MacOS, but I imagine a lot of developers use this.

So it would be useful if someone could test that the `build.sh` script works there without any errors.

If you encounter any errors/problems, then please create a PR with the fixes :) or post the errors here, so someone else can propose a fix.
