[IMPROVEMENT] Notifications for new updates only

### Describe the improvement

I would like to use the notifications for new updates but i don't because it constantly spam with all available updates , it is possible to just show new updates only (when running in background, and all updates only at start) ? that would be awesome, thanks!

it would make the notification feature perfect to me!
