Description

Recording these issues here for posterity, as @SachaG does not want to make any demographics questions changes right now:

## Issues

- Some participants need to communicate their intent to keep certain demographics private, which they see as distinct to skipping the question, see https://github.com/Devographics/surveys/discussions/214
- It's unclear whether income is pre-tax or take home pay, so participants currently assume at random, likely affected by cultural conventions.
- Unclear what "🚫 Not applicable" is under Income. No income? But then the first bracket should not start from $0 (perhaps "less than $10k" which is also symmetrical with the last option).
- Education should use checkboxes, not radios. Some people have degrees in *both* related and unrelated fields. See https://github.com/Devographics/surveys/issues/218

## Ideas

- Once education uses checkboxes, we could break them down even further, e.g. by type of degree (BSc, Master's, MBA, Doctorate etc)

Research direction

This issue collects unresolved demographics concerns and ideas rather than defining one change. Review the linked issue comments and discussion, then confirm that the maintainer wants these questions revisited before choosing a specific scope. Done would require an agreed change to the affected survey questions, but no files or tests are identified here.
