Description

At this moment, only meteo input via rasters (*.asc) is supported.
Timeseries of rasters for precipitation and evapotranspiration are listed in the METE_GRID.INP file.

A second option is to provide meteo data related to Meto Stations. Therefor a raster with a spatial distribution of unique Meto Station IDs is needed together with a list of timeseries per station.

Research direction

Start by reading the existing raster-based meteo input handling and the METE_GRID.INP format. Determine how a raster of unique station IDs and precipitation and evapotranspiration time series per station should be represented, validated, and selected as an alternative input. Done means station-based meteo input works alongside raster input with coverage for both paths.
