Description

From Sprint session 7/5/2026.
Scale of aquifer parameters often differs from target model scale. Faults are rasterizes on target model. This can result in edge cases where HFB is not overlapping Geohydrology. This can cause vertical leakage of groundwater near faults.

Research direction

No file, test, or entry point is named. Start by tracing the regridding and fault-rasterization workflow for HFB and aquifer/aquitard parameters, then determine how to keep them aligned with the target model and avoid non-overlapping Geohydrology. Done means an agreed approach is documented and its edge cases are covered.
