Description
Task description
Optimization routines are now part of the PTK. These routines are needed in the future for D-Soil Lab.
I this is necessary to separate these routines from the PTK.
Decide on the following:
- Do we need to translate these routines from C# to C++?
- Do we place them in a new library? Or do we attach them to the probabilistic library?
- Do we develop a python wrapper for the routines?
Note
Also D-Stability uses optimization routines. It would be nice to have a library of optimization routines.

Research direction
No files, tests, or entry points are named. Start by locating the existing optimization routines in the PTK and checking how D-Soil Lab and D-Stability use them; done means documenting a decision on C# versus C++, library placement, and whether a Python wrapper is needed.
