Description

Why jQuery methods Show/Hide are not used for showing/hiding a pager?

Currently it is using "$paging.css('visibility', 'hidden');" which does not hide the "white-space" area reserved by paginate controls.

"$paging.css('display', 'none');" and "$paging.css('display', 'inherit');" would also sold the problem.

Research direction

Start by locating the ConditionalPaging plug-in code that controls the pager and inspect the current visibility styles shown in the issue. Verify that hiding the pager removes the reserved whitespace and that showing it restores the controls, then add or update coverage if the plug-in has relevant tests.
