Description

Microsoft.Data.SqlCLient added a nice performance improvement feature here:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/api/microsoft.data.sqlclient.sqlcommand.enableoptimizedparameterbinding?view=sqlclient-dotnet-standard-5.0

The result of this change is that queries with large numbers of input parameters may execute much faster.

Research direction

Start by locating Dapper's SQL Server command creation and parameter-binding entry points, then compare them with the Microsoft.Data.SqlClient EnableOptimizedParameterBinding API documentation. Confirm how Dapper should expose or apply the option and identify the relevant tests; done means large-parameter SQL Server queries can use the new API without breaking existing behavior.
