Description
It would be nice to add specific stdout/stderr streams with color coding of the severity. This is somewhat across logging/ers, since we are talking about a ers stream, that may nevertheless be implemented and kept in the logging package.

Research direction
Start by reading the logging package and its existing stream and severity handling. The issue does not name files, tests, entry points, or acceptance criteria, so first clarify how stdout and stderr should be exposed, how severity maps to colors, and whether the implementation belongs in logging or a related package.
