## BRIEF DESCRIPTION
Open source existing private GitHub repository/repositories containing Original Medicare claims pricing software (also [partially available on cms.gov](https://www.cms.gov/PricerSourceCodeSoftware)) to fulfill a time-sensitive FOIA request. Add additional documentation and other release information to repositories as necessary. Time permitting, explore options to automatically update public repository/repositories upon updates to internal repositories

## REQUIRED DELIVERABLES

### PHASE 1: As-is Binaries Repo
- Use the CMS Open Source Outbound Review Checklist to do a Tier1 release of repository/repositories containing internal claims pricing code and binaries [partially available on cms.gov](https://www.cms.gov/PricerSourceCodeSoftware).
- Add additional documentation and metadata as required by CMS TRA and Open Source Policy, public release process or necessary in order to respond to FOIA request.
- Time permitting, explore options to automatically update public repository/repositories upon updates to internal repositories (e.g. automatic mirroring scripts, CI/CD, workflows, etc).

### PHASE 2: Wrapper Repo
- The pricing software is a bit of a pain to use, and we’re considering open-sourcing some tools to help users set up the software, submit requests, bulk-export large numbers of example claims, etc. The tooling might be as simple as a little command-line Python wrapper around the existing API, or we might wind up trying to construct a front-end UI for less tech-savvy users. Our Mentor Robert has already written a POC Wrapper that we can use to start.

### PHASE 3: Webpricer Bulk Requests Front-end
- There is an existing web page available, that has been worked on by previous interns at CMS, that uses these pricers to allow for MACs to create estimates: https://webpricer.cms.gov/
- There is an opportunity to add features to this, including the ability to send bulk-requests by importing structured data, such as a .csv file or .json file.
