Description

We have old batches in WALDO at the plate stage (where Well IDs become important) but these don't technically have a well ID. when we make these batches now, WALDO assigns a Well ID which is fine (technically most likely wrong but we don't need that information at these stages), but the old ones are empty. and I cannot edit these plates without a Well ID present (was trying to edit the FluidX information which changed). can we either add Well IDs or is there a way to work around the Well ID issue?

Research direction

No files or tests are named. Reproduce editing an old plate without a Well ID, then trace the validation or edit path that rejects it and inspect how newer plates receive IDs. Done means old plates can be edited for FluidX information, or the issue documents a confirmed workaround.
