Description

is there a way we can have WALDO really make sure we are aware if a sample is double stranded but has no barcodes and is only indexed? there aren't a lot of these, but its an issue when we want to capture these because they are treated like single stranded libraries but are sequenced as double stranded. so its important we know how to treat these

Research direction

Start by locating the code that classifies libraries as single- or double-stranded and produces alerts. Trace how barcode and index metadata are represented, then define the expected alert for double-stranded samples with no barcodes and only an index. Done means this case is distinguishable from single-stranded libraries and its handling is covered by the relevant tests.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.
