Description

Should we use the sample.average_bp_date field? This is currently a manual override for the automatic best date.

Should the radiocarbon standard deviation use oxcal_sigma instead of age_14c_bp_plus_minus?

What happens with oxcal_mu?

Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are named. Start by searching the repository for sample.average_bp_date, oxcal_sigma, age_14c_bp_plus_minus, and oxcal_mu, then trace how annotation dates and radiocarbon uncertainty are selected. Done requires an agreed mapping for these fields and corresponding behavior or documentation.
