Here, I want to remove "Rostov:", means the text before colon in IND file then save it
But when I merge this new set of Eigenstrat with edited IND, the mergeit function gives error:-

fatalx: OOPS indiv file has changed since genotype file was created Aborted

So my question is, how can the prefix before colon be removed so that mergeit does not give the above error?
Sincerely, Shreyam

Research direction

Start by reading the mergeit entry point and its validation of the IND file against the genotype file. Reproduce the reported error using the shown IND rows and edited prefix, then determine whether the project documents a supported rename workflow. Done means the behavior or required workflow is clearly established and covered by an appropriate test or documentation update.
