Description

I used the new version to compile the Sandy case study and replaced WW3 with SWAN, but the error shown in the image occurred. I found that WRF did not compile correctly; the compilation log showed the message “Error Error Error NoahMP submodule files not populating WRF directories.” Strangely, the “WRF/phys/noahmp/” folder existed before compilation, but when I checked again after the compilation failed, I found that the folder had disappeared. I hope you can help me. Thank you!

Research direction

Start by reviewing buildcoawst2.txt and sandy.h, then inspect the WRF/phys/noahmp directory state during the Sandy case compilation. Reproduce the build and determine why the NoahMP submodule files are not populating the WRF directories; done means the Sandy case compiles successfully with the reported error resolved.
