Description
Hello COAWST Team,
I would like to confirm whether the current COAWST supports coupling with the latest WRF v4.7.1.
Question 1: What is the highest WRF version currently supported/validated by COAWST? Is WRF v4.7.1 supported (or a patch/branch available)?
Question 2: Are there recommended “quick-start” or simplified installation steps for the WRF + ROMS + SWAN coupled build? The User Manual is comprehensive, but I’m looking for a minimal, step-by-step path for beginners.
Question 3: In the current User Manual, which chapters/sections cover installation/compilation of the coupled system? Are the initial chapters the right place to follow for installation?
If WRF v4.7.1 is not yet supported, could you please recommend a known-working WRF version for COAWST (for a stable starting point)? Also, any links to wiki/tutorials, example projects, or training materials focused on the WRF+ROMS+SWAN setup would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot!

Research direction
Start by reviewing the current User Manual sections on installation and compilation, then check the repository history or documentation for the highest validated WRF version. Done means documenting whether WRF v4.7.1 works, identifying a known-working version if not, and providing a minimal WRF+ROMS+SWAN setup path or links to existing tutorials.
