SimpleDNSCrypt Breaks DNS

I'm running Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.18362.476] through a Wifi connection with AT&T Uverse DSL. When I've got SimpleDNSCrypt up and running, nothing seems to be happening. The query log remains blank. I just updated to 0.7.0 and I really have no clue what to try to get it to work. I also installed the latest MS VC++ 2015-2019 Redistributor (x64) 14.23.27820. I already had the x86 version installed.

I tried out a few DNS leak tests and they all show it coming back to my ISP's DNS servers. However, if I change the DNS server through the networking in the control panel, that works fine and will recognize those servers.

However, now when I install the service, all DNS queries break. It won't resolve anything when I have set to automatic mode, or even in manual DNS mode with Cloudflare's DNS. I tried flushing my DNS via cmd line from ipconfig.

Is there anyway to generate a log file or anything that might be helpful? I have no idea how to troubleshoot this issue, so any help would be appreciated.
