DNSCrypt client proxy service hang?

Just had an issue where I was disconnected while messaging with someone and pages wouldn't load, but a download that was going was fine, which had me confused until I tried a different browser that actually gave a useful error message referencing a DNS failure. So I tried loading SimpleDNSCrypt and it would show in the tray but it wouldn't open. After trying a second time, I went into services and stopped and restarted the DNSCrypt one, after which everything went back to normal. First time this has happened and absolutely no idea why. I dug through event viewer and didn't see anything around that time except the actual DNS query failures. Nothing related to the service itself having issues, though. So I'm not sure if anything can be done since there doesn't seem to be any info to provide, but wanted to bring it up just in case.
