Description

Just wanted to share this resource (apologies if anyone has shared it before and I've missed it!): https://organology.net/instruments/

It has additional facets to ours (they also organize with HBS alongside other things):
- common category
- Region (broad)
- Time(s) of inventions
- music theory and taxonomies (e.g., raga, makam, etc)

It handles electrophones in a broader way than we do, including both the archetype/concept (https://organology.net/?s=synthesizer&post_type=), and specific instances: https://organology.net/page/2/?s=synthesizer&post_type . They don't seem to include every type of synthesizer ever, but they do have a lot of variants/instances that don't always seem to be connected to a significant element (leap forward in technology, use, circumstance, etc).

Sharing to get initial thoughts/vibes on their additional types of facets, and to contribute this as an existing model somebody is doing for their electrophones; I'm still organizing my thoughts on their setup, but wanted to get this up.
