Rodan slows down if used by more than one user, or for more than one task

**UI functions**

@martha-thomae and I have noticed that if we use rodan at the same time, UI functions slow down significantly. This also happens if I open rodan on two or more tabs (with each tab added, rodan slows down more). I experimented with running two workflows at once and noticed slowdowns in, for example:
- Renaming a resource (this is a big one)
- Waiting for a workflow to load
- Waiting for a resource list to load (when assigning resources, for example)
- Sorting resources according to a certain criterion (label or name, for example)

I also did some time trials to see whether or not rodan's actual functions slow down as well, and it would seem that they do.

To determine this, I started by running a complete OMR workflow with Einsie folio 110v three times (always with the same folio). Every time, the workflow took _**6 minutes**_ to complete, give or take 30 seconds.

I then opened another tab and prepared the exact same workflow, always with 110v, in both tabs. I then started them both within 3 seconds of each other. I did this three times--the average time for the first folio was **_9 minutes_** and for the second, **_9 minutes 30 seconds_**. I also noticed that:
- Since UI functions are slowed down, the Statuses on the jobs being performed update erratically. Once moment, job A will be processing, and then suddenly job A AND jobs B and C are finished and job D is processing. I don't know how much this affects my perception of how long the workflow takes.
- The second workflow takes a while to get started. In the last trial, it took 4 minutes for the first PNG job to even start processing (everything was Scheduled until then).
