Description
So far, @annamorphism, @zih-syuan and I are pretty set on having a square notation vs. hufnagel toggle in the file upload pop-up. Defining the display notation early will avoid confusion later on. The question is whether we also want the same toggle in the actual editing page.
The argument in favour is that this will make life easier for users who will have chosen the wrong notation in the upload process. Otherwise, users who forget to select the correct notation would have to delete the incorrect files and re-upload them.
The argument against is that, as @zih-syuan explained, switching back and forth between square and Hufnagel can cause problems when some symbols do not have direct equivalents.
I personally am leaning towards not having the toggle in the editing page; if users get it wrong, deleting the old files will teach them a lesson. Plus hopefully [this issue](https://github.com/DDMAL/Neon/issues/1371) will help avoid mistakes. Zih-Syuan has also suggested leaving the toggle in the edit menu, but finding a way to restrict or lock it so that users can't switch back and forth with reckless abandon.
@annamorphism, we would be grateful for your input!
