feature request: customize elements menu

Eventually, it would be very cool to be able to customize the elements that can be inserted (so that, for example, some projects can have plicas readily accessible, and projects that don't need them don't have to have them clutter up the main screen.)
This idea is still very much in the future, but something to consider as we continue to expand our symbol vocabulary.
