not able to set custom MAC address using EMANE

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. create a network having a node linked to an EMANE WLAN
2. change the interface config on the node to customize the MAC address
3. after pressing start, EMANE will assign the 02:02:00:00:XX MAC address

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Either the MAC address customization should be disabled for EMANE interfaces,
or the MAC address should end up in an XML file to properly set the address.

Reproduce the issue by creating a node linked to an EMANE WLAN, changing its interface MAC address, and pressing start. Trace how the interface configuration is handled and how EMANE assigns the 02:02:00:00:XX address; done when customization is either disabled for EMANE interfaces or written to an XML file so the requested address is applied.
