Description

Hey.

Currently the only way to get the reports on CT is to upload the blob and have the report generated from it. Since our PW tests already produce a HTML report, would it be possible to upload that report directly instead of via the blob -> results -> report way? Does the direct HTML report upload even make sense?

Research direction

Start by tracing how the server currently accepts a blob, produces results, and generates a report, then compare that flow with the HTML reports already produced by Playwright tests. Determine whether direct HTML uploads fit the existing report-viewing design; done means the scope and expected upload behavior are defined, with any necessary entry points and tests identified.
