INDEPENDENT STUDY
1-3 units (Independent Study) available for undergrad or grad student.
Units available through School of Natural Resources and Environment, or will work with Computer Science dept or other (Eller- MIS, Information Science & Technology -ISTA) for credit
Independent Study will include mentorship with CyVerse software engineer and Jaguar and Ocelot Survey Project coordinator.
Jaguar and Ocelot Survey Project:
Project is perfect opportunity to collaborate with host of disciplines: wildlife field biologists, biogeographers, computer scientists, and more.
Development tasks include:
• debug and refine java code for program SPARCd Spatial Photo Analysis for Research & Conservation database
• integrate elasticsearch upgrade for spatial wildlife searches
