Description

Define robust tomographic bins and n(z) via a SOM. Open choices: calibration anchor (DESI vs CFHTLenS); equipopulated vs a-priori bin boundaries; per-bin SOMs vs one master SOM (to avoid dense low-z regions dominating the topology). Cross-check against WZ clustering-redshifts (Romain has code). Owner: Klara.

Context: Paris meeting notes

Research direction

Start with the Paris meeting notes and review Romain's WZ clustering-redshifts code. Resolve the calibration anchor, bin-boundary strategy, and whether to use per-bin or one master SOM before implementation. Done means robust tomographic bins and n(z), cross-checked against WZ clustering-redshifts.
