wall panels as text instead of images

Our early way to display information was using image assets. But obviously this takes up resources and time. Not to mention it becomes "clunky" when need to update wording, etc.

Since those earliest days, we have successfully been able to "write text" directly onto the screen. See the room title at the top of every room, the coin counter, and a few "instructions" in certain places (most recently in the account equation activity room).

Can we have all the wall panels become a panel "background" with text laid on top?
How can we include an "image" too?
