1.40.0 - UI inconsistency

### Prerequisites

- [x] I am running the latest version of ComfyUI
- [x] I have custom nodes enabled

### What happened?

Some search fields retain their value while others like the add menu do not. With no apparent reason why one would and the other would not.
Makes the UI behavior feel incoherent - they both search for things in the exact same manner with similar content results but behave differently.
