How to disable floating toolbar over current node?

The latest ComfyUI update has made the GUI unbearably sluggish. Ever connected to Remote Desktop over dial-up? Because that’s exactly what it feels like now when dragging or zooming the UI.

At this point, I’d at least like to disable that useless popup toolbar on selected nodes to see if it helps recover some of the original performance. I couldn’t find any option in the settings to turn it off.

BTW, last time I checked, every mouse still has at least a right button, which already does everything that toolbar does—except, of course, slow the entire GUI to a crawl.
