[Desktop] Application Mode: Interacting with History and Templates causes significant and intermittent increases in generation time

In Application Mode, I observed that opening or interacting with History and Templates may sometimes increase image generation time.

I tested this several times. The slowdown is reproducible in some cases, but not consistently every time.

This appears to be an intermittent performance issue that may be related to background processing triggered by History or Templates.

Start in Application Mode and reproduce generation while opening or interacting with History and Templates, comparing the same workflow, prompt, and settings. Profile the intermittent 24–69 second variation and identify the background work associated with those interactions; done means generation time no longer increases during them.
