custom names for nodes in API export

hello!
would it be possible and useful to have custom names of the nodes in API json export along with the numbers?
right now I'm finding it so hard to work off json without any meaningful ways to distinguish nodes from each other.
it's numbers that don't tell anything + class_type that repeats across the nodes of the same type.

Happy to contribute once I know I'm not missing something important here
