Accessing the progress bar percentage that is shown in the command window

I'm successfully using the ComfyUI API to generate images from a custom python script I wrote. My question is: Once an image has been initiated to be created and I begin to see the progress bar in the command window, how might I access the progress bar percentage so that I could reflect that completion percentage in a custom UI I am creating via my python app?
