[RANT] To whom it may concern

I am an advanced long-time ComfyUI user, and this is what I have to say about the state of the project.

No need to forward this to frontend as I already submitted bug reports there — it is intended for all ComfyUI developers to read.

Ever since the cloud push and separation of frontend and backend more and more things have either stopped working correctly or working alltogether in GUI.

They are deprecating group nodes in favor of subgraphs. Fine, I don't mind the change, but subgraphs don't work with majority of nodes I am using (you simply can't expose inputs and outputs you need and you can't even resize the damn things). To make matters worse, they managed to break group nodes too and the breakage goes way back it seems as I am struggling to find a version which works.

To top it off, they keep adding clutter to workspace, adding stuff nobody asked for, adding visual distractions such as badge numbers and queues many people don't use, all while subgraphs are unusable since **1.39.x** all the way up to current **1.45.15**.

When group nodes get removed, nothing will work, and I am sure they aren't even thinking about providing an automatic (and working!) way to migrate our many existing group nodes into subgraphs when that happens.

How the hell do you go though 6 minor versions and God knows how many build numbers without addressing issues such as silent data corruption, inability to see and enable inputs, inability to rename inputs, and heck even the ability to delete node while you are renaming it leaving orphaned edit box in workspace? Beats me, I am just a software engineer and people working on frontend are apparently code monkeys vibe coding stuff with ChatGPT with no automated regression testing whatsoever.

Now excuse me while I clone this repo into a fresh folder and then go through commit log to find at what exact version this PILE OF STEAMING SHIT GUI has been introduced, checkout a version below that and NEVER FUCKING UPDATE IT AGAIN.
