Node Templates are destroyed (torn apart)

### Custom Node Testing

### Expected Behavior

Insert a node template exactly as I saved it.

### Actual Behavior

The templates are destroyed. They are torn apart like shown in the video.

### Steps to Reproduce

Right click -> 'Node Templates' -> chose a template -> torn apart like shown in the video above

No source file or test is named. Reproduce the issue through Right click -> Node Templates -> choose a template, then trace the frontend path that inserts the saved template; done means the template is inserted intact rather than torn apart.
