Description

### Custom Node Testing

- [ ] I have tried disabling custom nodes and the issue persists (see [how to disable custom nodes](https://docs.comfy.org/troubleshooting/custom-node-issues#step-1%3A-test-with-all-custom-nodes-disabled) if you need help)

### Expected Behavior

I installed your latest updates this week, and you changed your download screens for the worst. The old way worked just fine. Now you try and close the download, and they just sit there.

Please put back the old download. I am using Comfy UI Desktop. Whatever your latest versions are. Last two updates ruined downloading.

### Actual Behavior

Download screen goes away (which is useless to go back to the nodes before they finish. You did something and broke it. It's always worked before. I have tried two different apps.

### Steps to Reproduce

Install latest Comfy Desktop

Click on a Template you have never used.

Download Screen Comes up. Click Download All - Screen Closes.

Open Side Window (a dumb place to put that) and they just stay at 0%. Never Start.

The old downloader worked perfect.

### Debug Logs

```powershell
I have no idea where that is.
Research direction
Start by reproducing this in ComfyUI Desktop: install the latest version, open an unused Template, select Download All, then inspect the side window and its progress state. Done means the download screen behavior is restored or downloads continue visibly after it closes, rather than remaining at 0%.
