Running|Load button does nothing

With the ComfyUI manager installed, the Running|Load button does nothing. Without the manager installed, I can click the Load button to reload the current workflow with all settings intact.

Note that if I keep clicking the Load button while the workflow executes, at the last moment, before the image is generated, it will reload the workflow with all settings used. It seems to be a timing issue. This is in a fresh installation of ComfyUI, traditional menu interface,
