For snapshot operations, we currently either display final result as "success" or "error", but it feels like partially complete snapshot applications should instead be "warning" instead, or something anologous to that

Error makes it seem like the whole operation failed. We need like a "partial success" status type of thing where applicable.

Start by locating the snapshot operation status handling and the UI that displays final success or error results. Review how partially applied snapshots are currently reported, then confirm the expected distinct outcome and its display behavior with a maintainer; done means applicable partial applications are no longer presented as complete failures.
