Description

## 🧾 Ticket 1: Audit & Research – Understanding the Existing Page and Familiar Patterns
Audit existing page and research design patterns used in US-based food-tech ecommerce websites

---

## 🎯 Objective
Understand the current page structure and identify opportunities for simplification, clarity, and conversion improvement — using references from established **US-based food-tech ecommerce platforms** (e.g., Factor, Freshly, HelloFresh, Trifecta).

The goal is to:
- observe how leading food-tech brands structure similar pages
- identify familiar UI/UX patterns that users already understand
- map these insights to the redesign of our own page

---

## 🧩 Scope of Work

### **1. Audit Current Page**
Review the existing layout and document:
- Sections that **must stay** (essential for ordering, meal details, trust, flow, nutrition, compliance)
- Sections that can be **removed or merged** (redundant, repetitive, unused)
- Sections that could be **moved to other pages** (content not required at the point of decision)
- Issues in hierarchy, spacing, readability, or CTA clarity
- Gaps compared to common ecommerce expectations (delivery, subscription clarity, meal previews, etc.)

Provide **clear reasoning** behind each choice.

---

### **2. Research Comparable Platforms**
Explore **3–5 US-based food-tech ecommerce websites**, such as:
- Factor
- HelloFresh
- Freshly (archived references)
- Blue Apron
- Trifecta
- MegaFit Meals
- Territory Foods

Identify recurring UI/UX patterns such as:
- How meal cards are structured
- How pricing, macros, and ingredients are surfaced
- Navigation and category patterns
- CTA placement conventions (Add to Cart, Select Meals, Customize)
- How subscription vs. à la carte flows are represented
- How trust elements are displayed (reviews, certifications, chef notes, health claims)
- How delivery, diet types, or filters appear

Document visual references using screenshots or annotated links.

---

## 🎨 Deliverables
Provide a **short audit & research summary** (Google Doc / Notion / Figma page) including:

1. **Annotated screenshot of the existing page**
2. **Table of sections (Keep / Remove / Move) with rationale**
3. **Insights from 3–5 US-based food-tech references**, each with:
- 1–2 lines explaining what you observed
- why it matters
- how it might apply to our redesign

---

## 🧠 Evaluation Criteria
Your submission will be evaluated on:

- Depth of analysis and reasoning
- Relevance and quality of selected references
- Ability to identify user expectations specific to food-tech ecommerce
- Clarity, structure, and completeness of documentation
- Awareness of patterns that improve **conversion, readability, and meal browsing behavior**

---

## ✅ Checklist
- Audit of current page
- Annotated screenshots
- Section-wise rationale (Keep / Remove / Move)
- Analysis of 3–5 US-based food-tech ecommerce sites
- Summary document created & shared
