Running through my mind on how to make an app like this website

Where you can make jackson pollock-like paintings with your mouse.
At first glance it looks like the slower you move your mouse the bigger the splotches are and that is all I can deduce. I also see that they are using a library called [paper.js](http://paperjs.org/). I can dive more into the code but I feel like the fun is in trying to make it on your own.
