Basic text editor in P5 or Processing

Hi,

First, thank you for producing your inspiring videos. I have read your book on the nature of code as well and I share some topics with my Art students here in the UK.

This is probably too basic for one of your videos but I would like to learn how to make a very simple text editor in P5 or Processing. Something with only simple commands like load, save, copy, paste, etc. Then save as a text file.

I would like to eventually make a word processor app inspired by a Linux app called Cool-Retro-Term. A bit of nostalgia.
Or I might try to make an animated typewriter style app with sound effects.
