Computer Vision Extended

Could create a tutorial video(s) to implement the following Computer Vision concepts from scratch: line/edge detection , face detection, face recognition, 3-dimensional object recognition possibly using the Kinect to get depth data.
I don’t know if the distinction between face detection and recognition is obvious but I’ll further explain just to be safe. By face detection I mean finding a face in an image. By face recognition I mean identifying whose face is in the picture. If face recognition is to complex maybe recognizing a simple shape like a stop sign would be equally valuable.
